How to Get to Ballarat Aviation Museum

From Ballarat

Take the Midland Highway north to the Western Freeway.

Turn left onto the freeway and follow it for 3 km to the Learmonth Rd exit (signposted Clunes/Maryborough).

Turn left onto Learmonth Rd, then right into Airport Rd.

Turn right at the water tower, then take the right hand fork to the museum.

From Melbourne

Ballarat Aviation Museum is a little over 1 1/2 hours drive from Melbourne.

Take the Western Freeway to Ballarat.

Pass the first 4 exits into Ballarat and take the fifth signposted for Clunes/Maryborough and Aerodrome.

Turn left onto Learmonth Rd, then right into Airport Rd.

Turn right at the water tower, then take the right hand fork to the museum.

Flying in

The Museum is located at the Ballarat airport so flying in is easy. The Museum hangar is at the south west corner of the apron. Please enter via the building attached to the western side of the hangar.
